Troubleshooting- Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs)

Voxless performs heavy processing which will require a certain amount of time before the separated audio is ready. DAW's have their own implementation of how their buffers operate.

Pro Tools:

If you are experiencing issues with loading Voxless on Pro Tools, please increase your buffer size in the Playback Engine.

Reaper:

If you are experiencing issues in Reaper, try the following:

  • increase the buffer size to 1024 samples
  • set audio thread priority to Time Critical
  • set thread priority to Time Critical
  • enable anticipative FX processing

Reason:

If you are experiencing issues in Reason, please try the following:

  • Increase the buffer size to 6144 samples
  • set audio threads to maximum

Studio One:

If you are experiencing issues with StudioOne, please try the following:

  • set dropout protection to maximum

Cubase:

If you are experiencing issues with Cubase, please try the following:

  • set ASIO-guard level to high

Other DAW's:

If you are experiencing issues with other DAWS such as: Ableton, Fl Studio, Cakewalk, Bitwig, please try to increase the buffer size of your playback engine.
