DeMIX Pro 4.0 or Spleeter? Which one sounds better?
In collaboration with our partners in the Asian karaoke market, we evaluated the quality of separations obtained with DeMIX Pro 4.0 and Spleeter through a blind listening test.
The listening test included vocals and backing tracks, as well as Asian and Western music content. A total of 21 participants took part in the listening test.
Overall Quality Results
Mean quality scores for DeMIX Pro 4.0 were 23% higher than Spleeter's.
These results are averaged over all participants and all tracks.
Preference Scores
65% of the individual scores were higher for DeMIX Pro 4.0.
12% of the individual scores were higher for Spleeter.
23% of the individual scores showed no preference.
Vocals and Backing Tracks
DeMIX Pro 4.0 obtained mean quality scores 10% higher than Spleeter for vocal tracks.
DeMIX Pro 4.0 obtained mean quality scores 25% higher than Spleeter for backing tracks.
Asian and Western Content
DeMIX Pro 4.0 obtained mean quality scores 23% higher than Spleeter for Asian content.
DeMIX Pro 4.0 obtained mean quality scores 24% higher than Spleeter for Western content.
